Our Global Legal, Compliance and Regulatory (GLCR) team provides first class advice to colleagues and functions across the organization – ensuring AIG navigates an ever-changing landscape that spans state, federal, and international lines. The team has a multi-dimensional impact, from helping avoid legal exposure to collaborating with other functions to develop cutting-edge new products.

Primary responsibilities for this position include:
  • Providing day-to-day legal advice to Specialty Lines, including Aerospace and Credit Lines, insurance executives and underwriters with respect to transactional, regulatory, legal and compliance matters.
  • Advising and supporting business partners on regulatory compliance, conducting legal research, participating in product development, and negotiating, drafting and/or reviewing insurance policies, endorsements, applications, policyholder notices, ancillary agreements and marketing materials in connection with various Specialty insurance coverages.
  • The candidate will also be expected to work with regulatory personnel to address regulatory matters impacting the relevant business units, including the countrywide filing of forms and rates, responses to inquiries on insurance regulatory issues, and resolution of regulatory and consumer complaints.

Education/Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in either a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • JD from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
  • Admitted to practice in at least one state.
  • Familiarity with aerospace and/or credit lines coverages, the business of insurance and insurance regulation is strongly preferred.
