An American Law Firm Labor and Employment Group, nationally ranked by Chambers USA and “Best Law Firms”, seeks an associate with 4 - 6 years of employment law experience to join its New York Office.

Qualifications of the ideal candidate include:
  • We seek candidates who have worked in the employment practice of a prominent law firm and have gained experience with counseling employers on various employment-related issues, including leave entitlement, wage and hour issues, hiring, terminations, discipline, handbook policies and procedures, employment agreements, and other matters affecting the employment relationship.
  • Experience defending employers in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and their state law equivalents, is required, as is experience handling multiple facets of a litigation, including responding to complaints, drafting and responding to discovery, e-discovery and the production of documents, preparing dispositive and other motions, and drafting position statements.
  • Experience with wage and hour class/collective action litigation experience and/or experience a plus.
  • Experience with advising and defending/prosecuting restrictive covenant agreements preferred.
  • Must be admitted to practice law in NY; admission in MA, NJ, or PA is a plus, but not required.
