We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our esteemed team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing assistance to our Law Enforcement Defense practice group. Responsibilities:

Litigate in various courts, including state and federal courts, to defend our clients' interests and protect their rights.
Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, answers, motions, and briefs, in a clear and persuasive manner.
Conduct legal research to provide accurate and timely legal advice to clients.
Prepare for and participate in hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
Take and defend depositions of witnesses, including expert witnesses and opposing parties.
Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide support on various stages of litigation.
Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in legal research and drafting to enhance our legal services.

Qualifications:

Illinois and Federal court admissions required
Prefer candidate with 2-5 years of civil rights/law enforcement defense practice or 5-10 years of general civil litigation practice;
Experience should include federal litigation; experience with 42 U.S.C. 1983 and related law is a strong plus;
Very good to excellent writing skills also preferred;
Position is a hybrid position but potentially open to fully remote
