Our law firm is looking for a probate litigation attorney. The ideal candidate will have several years of experience working on cases involving undue influence and lack of capacity, as well as disputes with trustees. Aside from conducting research and drafting petitions, you will make court appearances and be given significant responsibility, albeit in a supportive environment. This is a fast-paced and dynamic firm with considerable scope for progression.

Responsibilities:
  • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence
  • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
  • Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks
  • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
  • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients' needs after analysis

Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed
  • Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis)
  • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
  • Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required
