In-House Counsel

About the role:
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Draft, negotiate and interpret various contracts including real estate leases, licenses, sponsorship agreements, consulting and service agreements, vendor and construction contracts, non-disclosure agreements and software license agreements.
  • Draft and support negotiation of complex transactions involving telecommunications facilities, distributed antenna systems and Wi-Fi networks located at high-profile public venues.
  • Draft fiber leases and IRUs.
  • Prepare and disseminate pertinent information from each contract to appropriate stakeholders, facilitate contract meetings, act as key point of contact for any questions/needs regarding contracts.
  • Independently analyze contractual requirements and apply knowledge of company policies and procedures to formulate feasible strategies for efficient contract management and risk mitigation.
  • Assist on corporate governance compliance.
  • Help to develop, implement, and continually improve company and Legal team processes and procedures
  • Perform various legal functions as needed.
  • Provide advice and counsel to executive members of the company regarding corporate legal and compliance matters.

  • Juris Doctorate Degree
  • Member of a state bar
  • A minimum of five (5) years legal experience (working in a law firm or as in-house counsel) in the following area(s):
    • Real Estate Transaction with strong commercial leasing experience mandatory
    • Telecommunications / wireless experience desired but not necessary
    • Familiarity with technology agreements and construction/vendor contracts
  • Ability to multi-task and meet demanding deadlines
  • Must have excellent contract drafting and negotiating skills and general business acumen
  • Ability to revise agreements, propose and draft strategic alternatives and negotiate with opposing counsel
  • Proactive, self-starter who takes ownership of daily responsibilities and projects and influences others across the business to ensure objectives are met
  • Prior experience working with public authorities a plus
