Description:

The New York office is seeking a Finance or Debt Capital Market Senior Associate to join its “tactical opportunities” finance practice. Ideal candidates would have spent several years managing and running complex finance transactions (ideally on the lender side). Familiarity with distressed credit, bespoke finance transactions and stressed/distressed credit would be helpful. Experience with complex liability management transactions, debt restructuring transactions, covenant reviews, collateral analysis, intercreditor and subordination arrangements is a plus.

Sitting inside its broader Financial Restructuring Group, the tactical opportunities finance practice focuses primarily on front-end and back-end transactions whether for a single lender or a group of lenders, and they work with financial institutions, private credit funds, hedge funds, alternative lenders as well as sponsors/private companies. This is a unique opportunity to join a market-leading, very collaborative and thought intensive practice to represent a broad variety of clients.

The ideal candidate will be able to work both with a group of creditors and with a private credit lender, originating both new transactions as well as managing existing capital structures. Candidates must have finance and/or secured bond deal experience, must have led multiple financing (or debt capital market HY) transactions from inception to close, must be able to manage mid-level and junior associates, think creatively and be collaborative.

Law firm experience is also required as well as admission to the New York State Bar. Please submit a cover letter, resume, deal sheet, and law school transcript.
