Qualifications:
The successful International Trade Associate candidate will have the following background:
  • A Juris Doctor from top-ranked law school, required;
  • Familiarity with the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), International Traffick in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”), OFAC Regulations; Foreign Trade Regulations (“FTR”); Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS”) regulations, etc.;
  • Experience working with U.S. Government trade agencies including OFAC, BIS, Census, CBP, DDTC, etc.;
  • Proven keen interest in international trade laws and regulations with 2 -3 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience with and knowledge of the banking system, logistics, e-commerce or AI technology, preferred;
  • Academic or professional background in international relations or international affairs preferred;
  • Mandarin Chinese, Russian, or Arabic language skills, preferred;
  • Licensed in one of the 50 U.S. states or District of Columbia, required;
  • Willing and able to travel internationally on short notice;
  • Able to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines and adapt to quickly evolving situations;
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication when working with clients and government regulators;
  • Sharp attention to detail is a must; and
