Miami, Florida multi-state insurance defense firm seeks junior and midlevel defense attorneys with litigation experience in any of the following: first party property defense, design professional/construction defect or professional liability defense. Candidates must have superior analytical and communication skills. License/Certification:
Bar License (Preferred)
Seeking junior and midlevel attorneys with any of the following experience:
- Defense attorneys admitted in Florida or certified for admission.
- Defense attorneys with 1 to 5 years' first party property experience or other relevant experience.
- Defense attorneys with 1 to 5 years' experience handling professional liability claims.
- Defense attorneys with 1 to 5 years' experience representing architects and engineers and handling complex construction claims.
- Managing own caseload with oversight by partners
- Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
- Research and writing of memorandums
- Attending hearings and court conferences
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Attending inspections
- Consulting with expert witnesses
- Attending mediations
- Trial Preparation and trials
Experience:
- first party property defense: 1 year (Preferred)
- professional liability defense: 2 years (Preferred)
- construction defect litigation: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Bar License (Preferred)
