Description:

A Law Firm that Help Clients Manage Risk and Make Better Business Decisions seeks a mid-level associate to join its national Labor & Employment Department in the Boston office. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of employment law experience representing employers in employment litigation, providing advice and counseling, and with traditional labor matters including positive employee relations training, NLRB litigation and labor arbitrations. This includes extensive experience researching and briefing employment law issues. Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing and oral advocacy skills as well as the ability to perform appropriate tasks with minimal supervision. An active MA license in good standing required.

Our full-service labor and employment department represents a broad range of entities including private and public employers. We handle high-stakes employment litigation, including individual and class claims of discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, defamation, non-compete violations, and wrongful discharge. We appear regularly before federal and state courts, agencies and departments (such as the EEOC, NLRB, DOL, IDHR and IHRC, and OSHA), and arbitrators. We also handle traditional labor law matters, helping employers foster positive workplace relations, negotiate collective bargaining agreements, and handle labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice proceedings.
