Patent Attorneys & Intellectual Property is currently accepting applications for a lateral attorney position (associate or junior partner) with an engineering or high tech background (computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science).Patent Attorneys & Intellectual Property provides creative, pragmatic IP business solutions for Fortune 100 companies, mid-sized companies, startups, and academic institutions. One hundred percent of the firm's attorneys and technical advisors hold science or engineering degrees, and nearly half hold Ph.D.s or other advanced degrees.
Job Requirements:
- A high-tech background (e.g. computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or similar)
- Experience in the field of AI/machine learning is highly preferred
- 2-5 years of patent prosecution experience
- Licensed to practice in Illinois (or licensed in another state and qualified to sit for the Illinois Bar Exam)
- Admission to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Innovative thinking and creative problem-solving skills
