Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in multiple areas of law, including but not limited to environmental law, immigration law, securities law, estate planning, personal injury law, and patent law. The candidate will play a critical role in advancing the firm's clients' interests through effective motion practice, legal advocacy, and strategic case management. The position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and writing abilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and revise settlement agreements, class notices, and cover letters
  • Draft, review, and revise letters to the Labor and Workforce Development Agency
  • Draft, review, and revise motions for preliminary approval, motions for final approval, -motions for PAGA approval
  • Draft, review, and revise supplemental briefing and declarations in support of motions for preliminary approval, motions for final approval, and motions for PAGA approval
  • Draft, review, and revise joint case management conference statements, joint status conference statements, etc.
  • Prepare for, and attend case management conferences, status conferences, hearings on motions for preliminary approval, final approval, PAGA approval, etc.
  • Communicate with clients in a timely manner
  • Communicate with settlement administrators regarding settlement administration
  • Keep track of all deadlines regarding settlement administration
  • Review settlement administrator disbursement databases and declarations

Requirements:
  • A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A current active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental law, immigration law, securities law, estate planning, personal injury law, and patent law.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in employment litigation
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Tribal law regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
