Description:

We are looking for a passionate, pragmatic, business-oriented lawyer to join our team and be our dynamic legal champion for our US and UK activities. As a member of the A Post-Purchase Experience Software Company legal team reporting to the General Counsel, you will advise and provide legal support for regional sales and marketing teams, support the business in your areas of expertise as well as actively assist in the expansion of the legal function in close collaboration with the GC.

Role:
  • Partner with our US and UK sales team to advise on and negotiate customer deals and contracts in an efficient, business-oriented manner.
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts including: SaaS & software agreements, SLAs, SOWs, NDAs, procurement (service providers, software license, sponsorship, events, marketing) contracts, data processing agreements, privacy policy.
  • Collaborate with the General Counsel with internal training workshops, legal operations strategy, drafting of guidelines and policies and other internal projects to build efficiencies and support internal teams in their daily work.
  • Support our people team with regional employment-related questions and ad-hoc contract reviews and negotiation.
  • Handle regional housekeeping, IP portfolio, insurance, corporate and M&A matters as necessary.
  • Coordinate, manage, and challenge outside counsels on various legal topics.
  • Address any other legal and business challenge while maintaining your priorities.

Requirements:
  • Education: US: JD from an accredited U.S. law school // UK: being a qualified lawyer in the UK.
  • Experience: you have 5+ years of experience combined at a law firm and as an in-house counsel (min. 2 years) in a start-up or scale up environment or technology company.
  • Expertise: you could review and negotiate commercial contracts in your sleep and you excel in one of these areas of the law and show workable knowledge and/or keen interest in other areas: IT and IP law, commercial law, corporate law, employment law, privacy law.
