About the Position:A New York City-Headquartered Law Firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 2-3 years of experience to join the Firm's Chicago office.
- In-depth factual and legal research to assess the merits of potential and newly filed class actions; and
- Prosecution of litigation from inception through trial by drafting pleadings, responding to dispositive motions, and managing affirmative and responsive discovery.
Requirements:
- Strong law school academic credentials (e.g., strong GPA/ranking, law journal, other compelling factors) or judicial clerkship experience;
- 2-3 years litigation experience (securities, commodities, and/or antitrust preferred);
- Excellent research and writing skills;
- Genuine interest in a career at a law firm focusing on financial matters;
- Ability to balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment;
- Strong work ethic, organizational, team building, and communication skills;
- Proactive, resourceful and driven by professional growth;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; and
- Admitted to the Illinois bar and in good standing.
