Description:
A Leading, Sector-Focused Global Law Firm's trial and litigation group seeks an enthusiastic attorney JD 2016 - 2019 to join a dynamic trial team in our downtown Los Angeles office. The team handles matters on behalf of public and private entities primarily in the areas of employment litigation, personal injury, sexual misconduct, and class actions. The ideal candidate will have an interest in furthering their litigation and trial skills as a key member of an active and growing litigation practice.Responsibilities:
- Capable of independently managing a case from responsive pleading through trial preparation
- Prepare pleadings, discovery motions, dispositive motions, and other filings
- Prepare discovery (both affirmative and responsive)
- Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions
- Attend court conferences, hearings, and mediations
- Conduct legal research
- Prepare for and assist in trials
Education and Experience Required:
- Admitted to practice in California
- 5-8 years of litigation/trial experience
- Strong academics and solid work history
- State and Federal court experience
