An International Law Firm is seeking an attorney to join its case evaluation team with the Firm's Securities Litigation & Investor Protection Practice Group in either our Washington, D.C., or New York office on a full-time basis.

The Securities Litigation and Investor Protection Practice Area seeks to hold corporations accountable by exposing and fighting corporate fraud and other malfeasance. We act as private attorneys general enforcing provisions of the federal securities laws, and work to reform corporate governance through shareholder derivative suits. We represent investors in several notable cases, which offer a unique opportunity to advance the public good while working in a private-sector setting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze securities class action complaints and present analysis to the securities case evaluation team.
  • Review and analyze SEC filings, analyst reports, and other market factors in assessing the merits of an action.
  • Draft client recommendations for pursuing securities class actions.

Required Qualifications:
  • This is a non-litigation position, that requires a minimum of 5 years litigation experience.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Experience conducting legal and general research in the areas of securities laws and public companies a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg, Westlaw, Lexis, and other research databases a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
