Our client, An Elder Law Attorney in Tysons Corner, Virginia based in Vienna, VA is hiring an Associate Attorney who is hungry to learn and help clients with the range of needs through life's journey, including Probate & Trust Administration and Estate Planning.

What will you see, do and experience?
Most likely, no two days will be alike as we all know life happens. However, a typical day will involve working on multiple probate and trust administration cases for clients, meeting with clients, as well as doing a lot of documents drafting initially as you learn their processes and systems.

To be more specific, you will:
  • Handle and work on multiple probate/trust administration cases and tasks for clients including reviewing the accountings and monitory tax deadlines
  • Provide legal advice and guidance in the areas of estate planning and elder care, as well as drafting of estate planning documents.
  • Draft or review the drafts of estate planning documents and long-term care planning.
  • Gather relevant information via discussions with clients and utilize proper checklists to ensure proper preparation of documents.
  • Ensure highest level of client satisfaction by responding within two business day to all client calls, questions or inquiries.
  • Enter all time worked daily and keep all client matters updated in Clio.
  • Support all internal team members consistent with the mission, culture and values.

Job Requirements:
  • JD degree from accredited school of law; license to practice law in Virginia.
  • 2-5 years' experience with knowledge in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and long-term care planning preferred.
  • Tech savvy- proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams with ability to work within and/or learn other databases, such as Clio and Adapt
  • Creative problem-solver who takes initiative, values a team approach and collaborates easily and willingly with coworkers at all levels
  • High attention to detail, research skills and proofreading skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Easily builds rapport with others, a good listener who is approachable with a good attitude
  • Excellent client service focus and orientation with high commitment to producing quality documents/outcomes for clients with minimal errors
  • Affinity to helping and working with the elderly and special needs populations
  • Sound judgement and critical thinking skills
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to learn proactively with ability to think through situations and ask questions
  • Organized and proactively manages work and deadlines with excellent time management
  • Ability to learn other computer software programs, and enter and maintain accurate data/information
