Role Description:
This is a full-time role as an Associate Attorney at Trial Lawyers. As an Associate, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to providing legal representation and counsel in cases related to medical malpractice, general negligence, product liability, and other types of business disputes. Your work will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents such as motions and briefs, attending hearings, conducting depositions, representing clients in court, participating in client meetings, and collaborating with other legal professionals. Although this role is primarily located in our Chicago or Northern Indiana office, there is flexibility for some remote work and potential for travel during trials.

Qualifications:
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to ethical practice
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to the Illinois or Indiana Bar
  • 1-4 years' experience in litigation or trial practice is preferred
