We practice in the following areas:
  • Trust litigation (trust contests, removal of trustee, beneficiary disputes)
  • Conservatorships (appointment and litigation - both general probate and limited conservatorships)
  • Full service estate planning (trusts, wills, special needs trusts, business succession, etc)
  • Elder Abuse (Restraining orders to protect elders, recovery of assets, care plan assistance)
  • Probate Administration
  • Probate Litigation (will contests, beneficiary disputes, determination of heirs)
  • Trust Administration
  • We are seeking an associate to assist with all aspects of the above practices. No litigation experience is required, however, it is preferred.

Growing law firm seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-2 years of experience who can assist with ongoing probate, trust, and conservatorship litigation as well as handle trust and probate administration as needed. The candidate will also have an opportunity to work on estate plans with the principal attorneys.

The candidate will work directly with clients and the founding attorneys. The right attorney will have an interest in direct contact with clients, litigation, and court appearances.

Job Duties:
  • Handling cases from initial pleadings to trial
  • Preparation of petitions and pleadings
  • Propounding and responding to discovery
  • Conducting Depositions and witness interviews
  • Resolving disputes through discussion and negotiation
  • Court appearances (evidentiary and non-evidentiary)

Qualifications:
  • CA State Bar Licensed
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills (with clients and other counsel)

Attention to detail:
Ability to handle multiple cases and prioritize tasks

Experience:
  • One year litigation preferred but not required
  • Newly admitted attorneys encouraged to apply
