A Texas-based law firm with a national reach, A Personal Injury Law Firm, is looking for a tenacious attorney to join our rapidly growing team in our North Austin Office, focusing on the realm of Consumer Law. At A Personal Injury Law Firm, you will join a plaintiff's practice that is making a difference for its clients. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cases across multiple state and federal jurisdictions with very experienced and highly motivated litigators. Roles and Responsibilities:
The role is multi-faceted and dynamic. Some key job duties will be:
- Working full-time and on-site in our North Austin office with our growing team of lawyers and support staff
- Drafting and arguing motions and responses to dispositive motions
- Attending trials, arbitrations, depositions, mediations, and other court appearances
- Drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, trial briefs and settlement correspondence
- Negotiating settlements
- Effectively communicating with clients and opponents
- Ensuring that all work product you are responsible for is completed timely and adheres to the highest quality standards known to the legal services industry
Experience, Qualifications and Skills
Our ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school is required
- 0-3 years of experience as a licensed attorney
- An active Texas bar license required
- Experience taking and defending depositions is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills are required
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines are required
