Responsibilities and practice:
A Worlds Largest Law Firm is seeking a junior associate to join our sophisticated Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice. Candidates should have 1-3 years of litigation experience, excellent academic credentials, and proven analytic ability. Ideal candidates will have extensive commercial litigation experience and some exposure to insurance litigation. Our associates work collaboratively with our partners and clients, and are key members of our team. Expected responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Working on all aspects of commercial litigation from inception through trials and appeals
  • Conducting legal research and writing memoranda
  • Drafting complex case evaluations and preparing briefs, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Conducting, propounding and responding to discovery (documents, written discovery, depositions)
  • Working with clients, witnesses, experts and other counsel

Pursuant with California law, the salary range for this position will be $225,000 - $260,000 based on experience.

Based on years of experience, A Worlds Largest Law Firm associates may have a title of Associate, Managing Associate, or Senior Managing Associate. Technical skills:
  • 1-3 years of complex litigation experience is required
  • Strong writing and case management skills, level appropriate direct experience handling clients and adversaries, and excellent oral advocacy skills are required
  • Savvy with e-discovery, data/document management applications, and related technologies
  • Previous law firm experience is preferred

Other Requirements:
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California and be in good standing
