The firm seeks full time Corporate Staff Attorneys to become an integral member of our top ranked Investment Management team in our New York office. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an entrepreneurial approach, possess a strong sense of ownership and be able to work in an independent manner among a group of high performing professionals. This position offers excellent growth opportunities for experienced professionals interested in advising premier private equity clients in connection with the organization of some of the world's largest, complex and most prestigious funds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Taking a thoughtful and analytical approach to:
  • Drafting, reviewing and revising various fund documents (including partnership agreements, subscription agreements, NDAs, transfer agreements and side letters)
  • Identifying and relaying issues to senior attorneys for resolution
  • Using organizational skills and paying a high attention to detail to:
  • Create and maintain structure charts, board presentations and side letter compendiums
  • Prepare and file various regulatory and compliance forms
  • Efficiently manage fund closings
  • Engaging in a collaborative and enthusiastic manner to:
  • Communicate and interact with clients, partners, associates, staff, investors and investors' representatives
  • Develop practice area expertise, assist with business development efforts and participate in professional development training sessions

Requirements:
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and a member in good standing of the New York State Bar
  • Three or more experience years with private equity in an investment management or law firm
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Energetic and enthusiastic about expanding knowledge of the private equity industry
  • Team-oriented mindset as well as the ability to take ownership of and complete tasks without direct supervision
  • Interpersonal skills enabling successful and professional communication
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work overtime, to work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely and to travel when needed
