About Us:
Here at The Leading National Installer we are currently seeking a talented and motivated Legal Counsel licensed in California to join our Legal Department. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in various legal matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide legal and compliance support for consumer protection issues across the company's existing and new business lines (e.g., privacy, data protection, consumer finance, marketing & advertising, online websites/applications/platforms, e-commerce)
  • Assist in managing litigation matters, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and providing support to the litigation attorney
  • Provide legal support in reviewing, analyzing, negotiating, and drafting company contracts and other legal documents, including:
  • Construction contracts with builders
  • Indirect spend contracts, including procurement agreements, vendor agreements, and service contracts
  • Direct spend contracts, such as sales agreements, purchase orders, and licensing agreements
  • Technology licensing agreements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide legal guidance and support on various legal issues
  • Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations and legal developments related to consumer protection, contract, procurement, and construction law
  • Assist with due diligence in M&A transactions
  • Conduct legal research as needed
  • Work cost effectively with outside counsel when necessary for specialized expertise
  • Prepare and conduct internal training sessions as needed
  • Interact with government regulatory agencies as needed
  • Periodic domestic travel as needed
  • Act ethically, with integrity, and contribute to an environment that promotes respect, innovation, and creativity

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing
  • 1-3 years of experience practicing law at a law firm or in house
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research and understand complex legal issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience or familiarity with consumer protection, contract, procurement, construction, employment law and/or litigation or technology licensing/SaaS processes is a plus
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite
