Our Washington, D.C. office is seeking a self-starting Lobbying Compliance Attorney to join our dynamic Government Relations team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of lobbying compliance law and at least 8 years of experience working on:
- Campaign finance lobbying and reporting
- Lobbying compliance and reporting
- Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA)
- Honest Leadership and Open Government Act (HLOGA)
- Lobbyist registration and reporting
- State and local lobbying laws
- Audits and tax compliance
- Corporate political activity
- Election-related litigation
- Pay to play laws
- Congressional ethics
- PACs
- Gifts and entertainment
- Conflicts of interest
Successful candidates will have outstanding writing and editing skills, strong organizational skills, should demonstrate the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and balance a multitude of simultaneous competing priorities, and have excellent research and analytical skills. Additionally, candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative manner. The ability to engage clients and government officials in a mature, professional manner is also critical.
