Our Washington, D.C. office is seeking a self-starting Lobbying Compliance Attorney to join our dynamic Government Relations team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of lobbying compliance law and at least 8 years of experience working on:
  • Campaign finance lobbying and reporting
  • Lobbying compliance and reporting
  • Lobbying Disclosure Act (LDA)
  • Honest Leadership and Open Government Act (HLOGA)
  • Lobbyist registration and reporting
  • State and local lobbying laws
  • Audits and tax compliance
  • Corporate political activity
  • Election-related litigation
  • Pay to play laws
  • Congressional ethics
  • PACs
  • Gifts and entertainment
  • Conflicts of interest

Successful candidates will have outstanding writing and editing skills, strong organizational skills, should demonstrate the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and balance a multitude of simultaneous competing priorities, and have excellent research and analytical skills. Additionally, candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative manner. The ability to engage clients and government officials in a mature, professional manner is also critical.
