Description:

A City in Laurens County, Georgia is currently taking applications for a Contracted Municipal Court Prosecuting Attorney. The Municipal Court Prosecuting Attorney will be responsible for the effective prosecution of cases in Municipal Court and provide representation in any civil enforcement of municipal violations or state law violations within the jurisdiction of the municipal court and as provided by Article VIII of Chapter II of the Code of Ordinances and O.C.G.A. 15-18-5. Work is performed under the direction of the Mayor and Council.

Requirements:
Interested candidates should submit a resume and a cover letter including desired compensation for consideration.

The applicant must have a Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited school of law and preferred 2-3 years of related work experience. Applicant must be admitted to the State Bar of Georgia, Court of Appeals of Georgia, and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
