A Top Ten Cleveland-Based Law Firm is seeking a skilled mid-level/senior associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of experience specializing in finance-focused commercial real estate transactions.Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage commercial real estate finance transactions, independently, with minimal partner supervision, from inception to completion.
- Draft and negotiate complex loan documents and agreements for transactions involving multiple lenders and financing sources.
- Oversee due diligence, including title and survey matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client and legal requirements.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior associates and paralegals on assigned tasks, delegating responsibilities as needed.
- Participate and contribute to the acquisition and disposition portion of the transactions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, demonstrating proficiency in both borrower and lender-side representations.
- Proven ability to independently manage complex transactions with minimal partner oversight.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in commercial loan documentation and intercreditor agreements.
- Familiarity with tax credit transactions is highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial real estate acquisitions and depositions is highly desirable.
