Description:

The U.S. Global Trade Finance practice is seeking an associate, counsel or junior partner (no portable business required) with 4 or more years of structured finance and securitization experience, preferably focused on lender-side private warehouse and trade receivables financings (capital markets experience is a plus, but it is not the focus of this role and is not required). Please include a deal sheet with your application (relevant experience is more important than class year). The Global Trade Finance practice group represents banks, funds and other financial institutions, in a variety of structured finance transactions, involving trade receivables, inventory and other trade-related assets. Our deals often include cross-border features (e.g., global trade A/R financings), off-balance sheet structuring for GAAP and/or IFRS, intercreditor arrangements, trade credit insurance and balance sheet- and/or ABCP-funding. This role is focused on trade receivables securitizations, but the successful candidate can anticipate opportunities to participate in structured financings involving a variety of other financial assets. We are looking to place in Charlotte, Chicago or New York, but relevant experience is more important than location (candidates must be U.S. lawyers practicing from the U.S.).
