Job Summary:A Personal Injury and Immigration Law Firm is seeking a skilled Trusts & Estates attorney to join our established Trusts & Estates practice group. This position is ideal for an experienced attorney with an existing practice who is looking to join a firm offering a competitive compensation structure for their current book of business. Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other related documents.
- Managing and overseeing estate administration processes, including probate and trust administration.
- Advising clients on estate planning strategies, tax implications, and asset protection.
- Conducting legal research and staying updated on relevant laws and regulations in estate planning and administration.
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and retention.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar licenses in Washington, DC and either Maryland (MD) or Virginia (VA).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and estate administration.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to estates, trusts, and probate.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
