Current Opportunities:The Vice President/Deputy General Counsel is responsible for the overall management of legal affairs, with responsibilities that include overseeing operations, compliance, risk, SEC filings, litigation activities, and investor relations.

- Responsible for leading and motivating a team of professionals to excel and embrace a culture of continuous improvement driven by organizational core values and operating principles.
- Serves as legal advisor to senior leadership and operations teams in the support of achieving Company strategies and objectives.
- Represents corporation in litigation and other legal proceedings.
- Reviews, analyzes and interprets statutes, regulations, policies, decisions, and administrative or judicial opinions of or relating to regulatory and quasi-regulatory bodies and determines their potential impact on the Company.
- Manages and develops law department in-house counsel and staff.
- Supervises the department's administrative activities.
- Interacts with internal clients on department's behalf.
- Manages and creates processes to enhance the efficiency and cost effectiveness of legal functions.
- Oversees the law department's relationships with outside counsel, including developing the department's outside counsel retention, management, and billing policies and practices.
- Designs, implements, and leverages process improvements and new technology tools, such as matter management, e-billing, and corporate entity management systems.
- Reviews, analyzes and interprets statutes, and judicial opinions for their potential impact on the Company.
- Examines and analyzes relevant information to determine appropriate actions to take in defending or prosecuting claims and/or lawsuits.
- Oversees management of an enterprise-wide records management system.
- Acts as agent of corporation in negotiating and memorializing non-acquisition related business transactions and provides counsel and advice regarding what is in the best interest of the Company.
- Prepares business contracts and administers other legal matters.
- Assists or supports the Company in achieving an unqualified SOX 404 attestation annually.
- Evaluates data, reports, feedback, observations and other information in determining priorities.
- Uses prior knowledge and industry specific, historical experiences in resolving problems.
- Conducts all assignments as a professional and role model with a sense of urgency.
- Uses professional communication and conflict resolution techniques as required.
- References and reflects upon the Company mission, values, and strategic imperatives in completing and/or assigning all work.
- Engages in professional networking with colleagues in similar roles at other organizations to share best practices and industry insights.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor Degree.
- Eight to ten years of legal experience, with a demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility and experience.
- Strong litigation and matter management experience.
- Senior Management skills and experience to include a broad participation in key strategic issues.
