The Role:
As the Firm continues to grow, we are looking for a Mid-Senior Associate Attorney to take ownership of class action work on data privacy cases, supporting the Partner team. You will have gained c.5-7 years of experience as an attorney, specializing in class action work, within data privacy would be advantageous. We work on cases involving cutting-edge technology, AI, and privacy issues which incorporate Multi-District Litigation (MDL) cases. Our role would suit an ambitious and technically strong attorney that is looking to progress their career, take greater ownership over cases, and work at the forefront of technology within a rapidly growing Firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Litigation Group on a diverse range of legal matters, with a focus on privacy lawsuits and class actions filed both in federal and state courts (experience with Multi-District Litigation).
  • Analysis of state, federal, and international privacy laws.
  • Working on data privacy cases under the Stored Communications Act, wiretapping claims, and data breach class actions.
  • Drafting legal notices to individuals, organizations, and regulators.
  • Responding to regulatory investigations arising out of a data breach.
  • Defending privacy lawsuits.
  • Preparing and responding to written discovery as well as taking and defending depositions.
  • Communicating (verbally and in writing) with clients and opposing counsel.

Qualifications and Attributes:
  • Admitted to US bar (in Good Standing).
  • 5+ years of experience at an AmLaw 200 Firm (preferred – but not essential).
  • BSc / MSc in Computer Science or Engineering (desirable).
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Working knowledge of Video Games industry (desirable, not essential).
  • Ambitious and possesses the ability to take a lead of complex cases.
  • Excellent research and writing skills, including drafting briefs and dispositive motions.
  • Experience managing e-Discovery
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
  • Highly organized and able to meet deadlines in multiple cases.
