Compensation:
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $145,000 – $210,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

An American Swiss-Domiciled Technology Company seeks an experienced attorney with solid experience in the enterprise AI/cloud/data services and computer network device sectors. This position offers dedicated support to TE Connectivity's growing and critically important Data & Devices business unit. This position requires global orientation, and the attorney filing this role must be qualified for and interested in assuming a visible and pivotal role in helping execute and impact the business unit's strategy in North America; there will be engagement and interaction with our Asia/Pacific and EMEA regions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on legal guidance and support on a broad range of commercial matters for North America's TE Connectivity Data & Devices business unit.
  • Structure, review, and negotiate agreements of various complexity, predominantly with customers but also with vendors and other parties.
  • Provide proactive, practical, and solution-oriented advice to business stakeholders in a wide range of functions, including regarding quality claims and other customer requests.
  • Collaborate with various subject matter experts and other legal specialists within TE Connectivity to support matters impacting the business unit, such as trade compliance, ethical compliance, and procurement.
  • Support developing and implementing appropriate compliance controls; support training of TE Connectivity employees.
  • Engage with diverse constituencies and external parties, including customers, vendors, outside counsel, and internal business leaders.
  • Supervise and collaborate with outside counsel and TE paraprofessionals as necessary.
  • Anticipate issues, strategically assess risks, and identify proactive solutions to eliminate, manage, or mitigate risks.
  • Develop relationships of trust and respect with key stakeholders.
  • Learn and keep abreast of business unit products, customers, business value drivers, competitors, and other aspects of the relevant market ecosystems.

What your background should look like:
  • 4 to 6 years of direct legal experience concentrated on commercial legal, including customer support and contract negotiation, quality matters, and legal advice. Experience with the direct backing of manufacturing operations is also preferred.
  • Have a proactive, strategic, and practical approach, ensuring the corporation's business and legal risks are anticipated and responded to effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters, effectively adjust to changing priorities, and remain composed under pressure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills with the ability to prioritize duties, work independently, and manage multiple significant matters from start to finish with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to drive results through influence and collaboration.
  • Experience in managing projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills that have resulted in colleagues seeking your guidance and counsel; reputation as a strong business partner.
  • Experience in AI, enterprise data services, cloud computing, and computer networking industries preferred.
  • Prior experience in large law firms and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is preferred.
  • Professional maturity, impeccable ethics, and integrity.
  • Must be a degreed and licensed attorney eligible to practice in at least one jurisdiction within the United States of America as in-house counsel.
  • Ability to travel. Depending on physical location, travel is estimated at up to once per quarter and might include international travel from time to time.
