A Full-Service Law Firm is seeking an associate with at least 2 years' experience in corporate and business transactional matters to join our established corporate practice group in our Virginia Beach, VA office. - Candidate should possess at least 2 years' experience in general corporate matters such as M&A, entity formation and structuring, contract analysis, private equity and venture capital transactions, and document drafting.
- Additional knowledge in business entities including partnerships, limited liability companies and joint ventures, as well as the ability to manage smaller transactions and major portions of larger ones is preferred.
- Experience in representing public companies in securities compliance and corporate governance is a plus but not required.
- Successful candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to assume individual responsibility for client matters.
- Possess a drive for excellence and willingness to take initiative to solve problems.
- Strong writing credentials and excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
- Candidates must be currently licensed in Virginia, immediate waive into Virginia, or be a member of the bar in one or more US Jurisdictions and willing to sit for the Virginia bar.
