The Corporate Counsel will support A Textile Manufacturing Company's ongoing growth as it expands its offerings and enters new global markets. As Corporate Counsel, you may be asked to work on complex commercial matters and advise business leaders on a broad range of legal issues within the company including: compliance, employment, intellectual property, corporate governance, corporate transactions, dispute resolution, and complex commercial agreements with renowned organizations around the world. Your level and area of responsibility will match the skill set you bring to this small Legal team. You have excellent judgment and can run with projects with minimal supervision while knowing when to escalate. You work efficiently and think strategically as a partner to the organization.

What You'll Do:
  • Create, review and negotiate diverse, well-organized and logically constructed documents, including multi-tiered Purchasing Agreements, Services Agreements, Supply Agreements and settlement documents, primarily working with health care institutions, commercial laundries, group purchasing organizations, international distributors and major hotel brands.
  • Assist with the implementation of a compliance program on a global basis.
  • Partner with Human Resources and outside counsel on employment related matters.
  • Provide legal support and guidance for all aspects of the business impacting operations and customers, including intellectual property matters, litigation and dispute resolution, contract management, marketing and IT.
  • Ensure the company's policies and strategies are in compliance with industry and governmental regulations.
  • Collaborate by listening to others, exploring alternatives, anticipating when help is needed, providing help proactively and encouraging the expression of contrary opinions.

What you bring:
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • 5+ years of combined, relevant experience as an in-house counsel or a combination of in-house and private practice.
  • Flexibility and tenacity in solving complex legal and business challenges.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements.
  • Knowledge and/or experience in a variety of general corporate legal matters.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and effectively interface with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Comfortable maneuvering through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics.
  • Strong ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals while managing numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to think strategically and compare alternative courses of action to make sound decisions and give business and legal advice in a compressed time frame often with limited information.
