About the role:
Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will assist with all aspects of our company's contract management and provide support for all relevant legal issues. This role is a critical part of our small but mighty Legal Team and is instrumental in defining and delivering the next generation of A Food & Beverage Services Company legal experience. The ideal candidate will display legal expertise, as well as communication and problem-solving, and a curiosity that drives you to go above and beyond to solve problems for your stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the A Food & Beverage Services Company business to draft, negotiate, and manage a large variety of contracts including but not limited to confidentiality agreements, SaaS agreements, services agreements, license agreements, and consulting agreements
  • Provide support to the relevant business units on the contracts processes to ensure that approvals and contract requirements are met, and to ensure that the business continues moving forward
  • Work with individuals across all of A Food & Beverage Services Company departments to develop a system for the company's procurement process
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders including but not limited to marketing, supply chain operations, data, IT, HR, and finance
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to review collateral for all streams of media
  • Participate in the annual strategic process of creating department goals (OKRs) and support implementation
  • Participate in fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school and admission to at least one U.S. state bar
  • 3+ years' experience in a law firm or in-house legal department; combination of law firm and in-house experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical ability and professional judgment; experience balancing business needs and potential compliance risks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills – ability to maintain standardized forms, templates, and the contract database, and update and improve them as needed
  • Comfort with pushing A Food & Beverage Services Company stakeholders, as well as suppliers and vendors to hold them accountable on pricing, business terms, legal terms, etc.
  • Experience in procurement strongly preferred
