What you will do:
  • Customer contracts and negotiations: Draft, negotiate, and review a broad range of enterprise customer agreements. Partner closely with our customer facing teams in navigating complex negotiations and driving them to an efficient outcome.
  • Contract management: Partner closely with our Sydney based legal and security teams to continuously evolve our contracts and policies to ensure they remain fit for purpose and help streamline and simplify deals for our customer facing teams. In addition, you will work with Revenue Operations to ensure creation of contracts is automated and enables us to systematically track our legal obligations across the entire customer base.
  • Enablement and training: Develop materials and conduct training sessions on legal processes and our contract framework to help accelerate deal velocity for our customer facing teams.
  • Policies and procedures: Support our Sydney based legal and security teams in designing, implementing and improving Dovetail's legal policies and procedures to manage our risk profile on a global scale.
  • Support on employment law: Support our People team in establishing SF specific policies and procedures, and help navigate employment law matters if they arise.
  • Business partnering: Work closely with all teams across Dovetail to provide legal analyses and guidance on applicable laws, regulations and industry guidelines as needed.

What you will bring:
  • JD or foreign equivalent and the licence to practice law in at least one US state.
  • 4+ years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating SaaS contracts.
  • Experience analyzing and advising on a wide range of legal issues.
  • Collaborative approach, with strong ability to build relationships, gain credibility, and partner with others.
  • Strong work ethic and low ego, and a willingness to tackle projects both large and small.
  • Confidence operating in a fast paced, ambiguous environment and the ability to drive your own priorities.
