What part will you play?
This remote-based Senior Legal Counsel position will play a pivotal role in providing legal counsel and guidance on a wide range of international legal matters, including providing timely counsel to our sales and operations organizations in support of international commercial transactions. The successful candidate must have the ability to deal with complex matters while operating in a fast-paced environment, providing effective and practical counsel on a variety of international commercial transactional matters.

What will you be doing?
The job responsibilities of the Senior Legal Counsel include the following:
  • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of international technology goods and services agreements, including sales and distribution, licensing, service, teaming and/or joint venture, supply, and other strategic agreements.
  • Provide accurate, timely, business-oriented legal advice and counsel to all levels of company management in connection with international business initiatives.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on international laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to A Full-Service Systems and Media Technology Integration Company's operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, operations, and compliance, to address legal issues and mitigate risks.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide legal support to purchasing, sales, finance, and various internal departments with a variety of legal matters ranging from subcontractor disputes, vendor related issues, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other legal tasks as directed by the General Counsel and senior management.

What do we require from you?
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing in one or more states.
  • 8+ years of legal experience in a corporate environment or a law firm handling international commercial transactions, including experience with international business development, contracting and regulatory compliance matters, including ITAR, EAR, FCPA, and trade compliance regulations.
  • Proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex international commercial transactions.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property, data protection and privacy laws.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of management, internal business partners, and customers.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and advise on appropriate corporate response.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with common business software tools, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Self-motivated and pro-active with the ability to multi-task and balance constant and competing priorities to help drive forward corporate initiatives.
  • Must be a team-player with the ability to assist teammates with competing priorities, and the ability to mentor junior legal staff.
