Our law firm, A Personal Injury Attorney, is looking for an attorney to join our workers' compensation department. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm's clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. You will have the opportunity to work along with some of the best lawyers in Chicago, including former judges in our firm. This position reports to our Downtown Chicago office. We are a trial-focused firm, that takes pride in winning for our clients.

- Provide legal counsel to clients.
- Provide Workers' Compensation experience and knowledge.
- Handle case management from inception to completion.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
- Communicate and manage relationships with clients and opposing counsel.
- Fully investigate cases and documenting findings.
- Negotiate settlements.
- Examine medical evidence.
- Maintain regular contact with clients.
- Attend court.
- Litigate cases to trial.

Qualifications:
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree.
- Illinois law license required
- 1-2 years experience is ideal but desire to learn and be the best most important.
- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite is necessary.
- Must be able to handle heavy caseloads with little supervision.
- Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must.
- Spanish fluency a plus
